Osteopathy/leg pain

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:00 pm

I am keenly interested in knowing if and how osteopathic treatments can
be used to treat pain and stiffness in my legs, particularly in the backs
of my calves, and feet.

This can be a symptom of a serious medical condition.
Is it worth risking your LIFE on the medical qualifications of
    an O.D.??
Forget about crackpot "subluxation" theories and
    see a M.D.
NOTE: many O.D. are excellent doctors but some nutto’s are
    out there.

Osteopathic physicians study everything MD’s study, plus osteopathic
techniques. They have to pass the same state medical boards as MD’s. All
professions have some nuts — there are plenty of MD’s who’ve gone off the
deep end on one theory/technique or another. Osteopaths are highly qualified
physicians, with all of the medical background of an MD.

No offense to them, but chiropractors have a much different, and shorter,
training program, and are not necessarily qualified to  diagnose medical
conditions. But, again, it all depends on whether you’re dealing with a
    conscientious individual practitioner or not.

What branch of the AMA are you affiliated with?
